Well haven't been on for a while because I've been quite busy.My Daughter has just gone back to school on Tuesday (1st September).It's her last year of primary school. I can't believe it she has just grown up so fast.I'm missing her quite a bit.
I've been feeling very emotional this week don't exactly know why!
I'm dosed with the cold at the mo coughing and sneezing all over the place and generally not feelin the best.(hope it isn't swine flu!).

We went to Dublin zoo a few weeks ago with Janice and Johnny and the children.We thought It had got very expensive.It was nearly 50 euro for the three of us.This is a photo of Charlene beside the ostrich enclosure.

This is a photo I took in Warrenpoint one evening we had been down crab fishing.I love pictures of sunsets.I love the sea actually I find it calming just watching and listening to the waves can be very relaxing.I think if I ever won the lotto I would buy a house by the sea somewhere.It wouldn't even have to be somewhere warm because I don't mind the sea being rough and wild either.

Today I visited my dad in hospital at the day visiting hours because tonight I have to go to my cousins recording studio.Sounds very rock and roll but isn't.My cousin decided to make a cd with all the musicians being from our family.That is 3 of my uncles (my dads brothers) my dad, 4 of my cousins and myself. There are other members of the family who did play instruments but gave up long ago so thats why it ends up I'll be the only female on the cd.It's an interesting experience I have to say.I don't think I would like to be a session musician full time.Although I have enjoyed playing on it.I have to confess that I haven't played in over a month I even had to search for my clarinet because I couldn't remember where I'd put it.
I've finished the back of the blue cardi for Charlene and have knitted half of the left side.It doesn't look too bad so far.
The school summer hols are going by too quickly.We went shopping last Saturday and got new pencils etc and new school bag for Charlene.Tomorrow we have to go into town to buy a few bits of uniform I hate having to do it.I'm enjoying the lie ins too much.
I weighed myself yesterday morning I thought I'd been quite good lately.Obviously not I've put on 7lbs.I was depressed most of the day afterwards.I really need to do something.It's not that I mind being fat (I'm a BBW),I don't, but I can feel it health wise.My back has been sore most of this week and most days there are a few clicks when I bend my knees which doesn't sound very good.Lately if I walk far I've been breathless too.So I think as of Monday I'll have to start a diet of some kind I don't want to get any heavier.I have a condition called poly cystic ovarian syndrome.Which can cause weight gain which in turn leads to pcos symtoms getting worse it's a vicious cycle.It gets me down some days.I suppose I have been feeling low most of this week.Between money worries,health worries,my dad in hospital, the list goes on.Maybe it's the time of the month thats causing the blues.

Today the weather has been beautiful and sunny for a change.We went to the local pool.Charlene and Noel went in but I sat watching from the balcony and doing my knitting! My friend Janice was teasing me that I was like one of the old women who sat watching and knitting at the guillotine. I have nearly the back of a cardigan finished for Charlene now.I'm sort of making it up as I go along so we'll see how it goes.I bought a small bin with the idea that I will sort through my stash of wool and sort it out and store it tidily in the bin! We'll see how that goes too.LOL. I'm not the tidiest of people I have great intentions to do things but end up finding more entertaining things to do.The thing is that both Noel and I are hoarders.For instance I have still my school tie and scarf and I've left school 24 years ago! So you can imagine what else we have around this place called home.
Charlene is sleeping over at Janice and Johnnys tonight the house seems very quiet I hate it when she isn't here and am missing her lots already and it's only been a few hours.
My hay fever is driving me nuts today I've been sneezing constantly and look as if I've been crying for a month and now to top it all my head is splitting. So I think I'll head to bed early (ish) with a couple of pain killers. Night Night.

I made this hat last Hallowe'en for my daughter.I got the pattern from Kody May knits blog.Check it out she has some really cool patterns she makes up herself.

I made these tiny stockings to hang on the tree last Christmas for a craft fair.I used scraps of wool that I had in my stash and tiny pegs I got from a card craft shop.

Well I thought I would post a few photographs of my knitting accomplishments.I haven't taken a lot of photos of my knitting but I intend to do it from now on.As with most knitters I have a stash of wool.I found wool I'd bought last year and forgot about now all I have to do is find a pattern for it! It's raining here today again so more time to stay in doors knitting.I have taught my daughter to knit and I've been trying to get her to knit a few squares that she can sew together to make a cushion for her bed,but she gets fed up with it after a while.I also found some Blue Aran wool that I bought about February time so I decided to make up my own pattern and make a cardigan for Charlene.I've never made one up before so I'll keep you posted about my progress.

Hi .Not long up had a good sleep.
Today is my Dad's birthday.Unfortunately he has been in hospital for the past 5 weeks.Myself and my sister are going to visit him later and bring a birthday cake.
The sun is shining for a change.It's a really lovely day.trying to decide what to do first.
Looking for things to do with Charlene that doesn't cost anything or very little.I can't drive so needs to be within walking distance.
A few weeks ago we went for a drive to Crawfordsburn forest park.Its near a beach called Helens bay.You have loads of different walks to choose from.We went through the trees for a bit and then down to the beach then back for a picnic.It was a really lovely day that didn't cost anything other than the picnic stuff.
Noel and Charlene are going to the swimming pool on Saturday with our friend Johnny and his 2 daughters Sophie and Rebecca.While they do that Janice and I will probably go for a coffee and a catch up.

HI, I'm new to this blogging but I thought what the hell I'll give it a go.
At home at the minute looking out at a day that can't make up it's mind to be sunny or to rain.
This year we aren't having a holiday away. As with many others, I'm sure, we can't afford one. Not to worried though because maybe it will help us get caught up on a few things that need to be done around the house that we keep putting of.
I'm trying to get some knitting done that I started around Easter time.I decided to use up all the bits of left over wool that I had stashed in different bags.So I started a patchwork kind of blanket or throw for my daughters bed.I don't mind the knitting bit but I really hate the sewing up.So at the minute I have about 30 squares knitted that have to be sewn together.It'll be like a coat of many colours.
I love knitting I find it very relaxing.I even take it in the car sometimes when we have a long journey.My husband says I'm an addict though.
